EU to BAN cars in ALL cities within 40years?

Good idea. Are they going to provide electric buses from a remote parking building, or something, and free shuttles in town? I didn't read the article (lazy, I know), but as long as there's good intra-urban transport (optimally FREE), then why not?

I always thought they were unstable, but now I know that they are totally insane. Want to stop CO2 emissions increasing? Tell the EU to stop giving away industry to Africa so that they can build up factories. That is surely the easiest solution.

Hell... will any of us have power if someone can't use a chain saw to get some limbs away from wires?

It's a good idea in theory and with the price of Gas/Petrol it is possible without this proposal.

I don't know about this idea specifically but we do need to rethink the insanity of the motor car and our complete stupidity in building endless roads with licenses handed out willy nilly three to a family.

We will become extinct if we don't start to behave rationally.

Cars will be around as long as we are, maybe not powered by petrol or diesel. I hope they won't ban them. as it is my freedom of choice to use a car as i will still be young enough to use one.

within 40 years they will all be zero emission anyway. Oil will not last that long.
